SMBT Cricket Carnival: More Than Just a Game

The SMBT Cricket Carnival is not just a sports event it’s a celebration of unity, teamwork, and togetherness at our campus.

The idea started in 2018-19 during a cultural transformation journey. Inspired by the film INVICTUS, our leadership team wanted to create something that would break barriers of designation, position, and ego. The goal was simple bring everyone together as one SMBT family and celebrate the human spirit. We wanted to remind ourselves that we are humans first and joy, connection, and respect matter most.

In 2025, the carnival grew bigger than ever, with 32+ teams and 600+ participants from every part of the institution. Even Harbhajan Singh joined us as the Chief Guest and praised the energy, passion, and unity on the field.

This event continues to show how sports can build strong bonds and a healthy, happy culture across SMBT.
