The Ganpati idol-making workshop held on August 31, 2024, was a vibrant celebration of traditional art and eco-friendly craftsmanship. Led by esteemed sculptor Mr. Sharad Patil, the workshop introduced participants to the cultural significance of Ganpati idols and emphasized the use of sustainable materials. Through a hands-on demonstration, Mr. Patil guided 26 participating groups in sculpting techniques, offering personalized feedback throughout. The participants embraced the opportunity to create unique and beautifully crafted idols, showcasing both innovation and tradition. At the end of the workshop, the idols were evaluated for creativity, craftsmanship, and technique. The top three groups—led by Mayuri Patil, Rohan More, and Samadhan Korde—were awarded prizes, while two consolation prizes were given to Aarti Zankar and Ankita Paldhe’s groups. The event concluded with an idol display and an aarti, leaving participants with a deepened appreciation for the art. Coordinated by Ms. Kanchan Khedkar and the cultural committee, the workshop was a great success.
