Guest Lecture on-Trapped in the Net: strategies to combat internet addiction

An Expert lecture on “Trap in the Net: Strategies to combat Internet addiction” was organized by SMBT College of Pharmacy in collaboration with RISE Dept. on 27/08/2024 at 10.00 am-12.30 pm. Resource person Dr. Hemant Sonanis, (Consultant Psychiatrist, Manoday Clinic, Nashik) Expert lecture was start with felicitation of guest by Dr. Yogesh Ushir, Principal, SMBT College of Pharmacy. During this session, Ms. Kavita Gadade, Head of Rise Dept., Ms. S. V. Lambe, Program Co-ordinator, all teaching faculties, supporting staff were present for the program. Dr. Hemant Sonanis explained in detail about internet addiction and its effects on individuals of all ages, Excessive internet use can lead to social isolation, decreased productivity, and negative impacts on mental and physical health. Total 234 students were present for the program.
