Environment Conservation Program

National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of SMBT College of Pharmacy, Dhamangaon organized ‘Environment conservation Program’ on 6th January 2021 at 10.30 am. Hon. Dr. A.S. Dhake, Dr. M.R. Kumbhare, Teaching and supporting staff members were present for the Program and 52 third and final year B.Pharm students attended it online through the Google meet. NSS Volunteer Ms.Prerna Gite gave speech on environment conservation; she highlighted need of pollution control as population is increasing day by day. On this occasion Mr. R.B. Rode (NSS P.O.) expressed his views on environment and stated our environment is under distress and facing alarming situation. He told, it is our duty to save environment before it gets too late. Mr.R.Kandekar (Computer Assistant) in his speech explain the importance of arboriculture to conserve our Environment Dr.A.S. Dhake, Principal, enlighten through his speech on environment conservation. In his speech he emphasized Mahatma Gandhi’s principle to have less needs in our life, he said it is very painful as we are doing exactly opposite to it. He also expressed concern on increasing pollution as no. of citizens are prone to respiratory tract infections due to bad air quality. Prior to the end of the program staff members and students took an E-pledge on ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ available on website-www.majhivasundhara.in for conservation of environment. Mr.Pankaj Kunde, NSS Volunteer, proposed vote of thanks. Ms.S.J.Shelke (Asst.Professor) hosted the program. After formal function, the participated in ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’ in SMBT campus and indicated their seriousness about environment care and protection.
